To catch the sunrise at the top of Pidurangala rock, you need to start climbing around 5:00 AM. The hike takes about 30 to 45 minutes depending on your fitness level.

Make sure you bring a good flashlight or headlamp. The path through the forest is completely dark at that hour, and the final rock scramble requires both hands free.
