Many photographers firmly believe it is better. From the top of Pidurangala, you get a stunning, uninterrupted panoramic view that actually includes the magnificent Sigiriya Lion Rock itself rising out of the jungle.

While Sigiriya has the fascinating ancient ruins and frescoes on top, Pidurangala offers a much more natural, wild, and breathtaking landscape view at a fraction of the ticket price.
