The Lankatilaka Viharaya and the Gadaladeniya Viharaya are two incredible, ancient temples located just outside Kandy. They feature stunning medieval Sinhalese architecture and ancient paintings. Because they are outside the city, they are incredibly peaceful and rarely crowded with tourists.
