Reliable Fiber + Power Backup in Hiri? (Zoom-friendly spots only!)
Hey everyone! Just rolled into Hiri and I’ve got a stack of client calls starting tomorrow. My guesthouse Wi-Fi is... let's just say it's more 'island time' than 'fiber speed.'
Where is the absolute best, most stable Wi-Fi in the bay? I need a spot with a backup generator because the sky looks like a power cut is brewing. Bonus points if there's good coffee!

Welcome to Hiri! If you have serious calls, don't risk the beach cafes, head straight to Verse Collective. It’s technically on the next bay over (Pehebiya/Dickwella), but it’s the gold standard. They have SLT Fiber (expect ~100 Mbps) and a beefy backup generator. The coworking space is separate from the cafe so it's actually quiet enough for meetings.

If you want to stay in the heart of Hiri, check out Nomadico (Slow Life). It’s a dedicated coliving/coworking spot tucked in the jungle. They have a dedicated upstairs work area with ergonomic chairs and fiber. They recently upgraded to a 5G-ready backup supply for the router, so you won't drop out when the grid goes down. Rates for a day pass are usually around 1,500 LKR.

I've been working from Clics Coliving for two weeks now. Very stable fiber and it’s one of the few places with private booths if you need to be on camera without a monkey jumping behind you. If you’re looking for a cafe vibe with decent internet, Dots Bay House is okay for light work, but can get noisy. For calls, stick to Verse or Clics.
