Current visa on arrival rules at the airport.

Yes, you can absolutely get the visa on arrival today at Bandaranaike International Airport. Since you have a Polish passport, you are fully eligible. When you land, before going to the immigration desks, look for the dedicated Visa on Arrival counter. It is open 24 hours. The fee is slightly higher than the online ETA, usually by about 10 USD, and you must pay by credit card or cash. It only takes about 10 minutes to process.
Tell the officer at the counter that your ETA is pending. Sometimes they can look it up in the system right there and push it through without charging you twice. Have your application reference number ready on your phone.
Do not panic. This happens frequently when their payment gateway has a hiccup. The on arrival counter handles hundreds of these daily. Just proceed to the airport with confidence.
