Kandy to Ella train is sold out. What are my options?

If the reserved tickets are sold out, you can simply buy unreserved third class tickets at the Kandy station on the day of travel. You might have to stand for the first hour until Hatton, but seats usually open up after that. Alternatively, hire a private taxi.
