Saturday 22 Aug, Kandy, last Kumbal before Randoli. Listed 6:28 PM. We are hearing-protection crowd for a four-year-old. Pin in mind: the Yatinuwara pinch where the line slows for a turn. Rice still turning after the cortege, or only tired oil. Street if we can. No municipal ticket I will invent. Water already in the bag.

Buy water before you sit the Yatinuwara pinch where the line slows for a turn. After the cortege, ask for the plate that is still turning. Rice is allowed. Tap stays no. Ice out. Cash notes; card machines pretend. Kumbal is a real night, not a failed Randoli. Saturday 22 Aug is the last Kumbal; Randoli nights follow after this. Then tea, then the room.

Carrier, water, peel when limp. Ordinary tiredness.

One soda, ten minutes, move. Do not camp a four-top for email. No gazette.

Ask two people. The first story about the Yatinuwara pinch where the line slows for a turn is not a timetable.

We dumped bags first. Dragging hard-shells into a kerb is theatre. Then tea.
