Besides Yala, Wilpattu National Park is one of the best places to see leopards in Sri Lanka. Wilpattu is much larger and heavily forested.

Wilpattu receives far fewer tourist jeeps. This makes for a much more peaceful and authentic wildlife safari experience overall compared to the crowded Yala park.
