Sleeping in Hatton before Adam’s Peak. Do we still need to treat this as climb season booking, and what start time, headlamp, and tea-stop pacing actually works after late festival nights.

Season crowds vary; still book the Hatton night and confirm trail access the day before. Start in deep dark with a real headlamp, not a phone torch.

Tea stops are part of the pace — do not sprint the first hour on festival sleep debt. Turn around if rain or cloud kills the summit view and your legs.

Eat light before the climb and carry water. A heavy hotel dinner plus a 2 a.m. wake-up is how people quit halfway.
