Soft foam plugs are enough for most adults and easier in a crowd than bulky over-ears. Lake-road and city pharmacies usually still sell them after lunch — ask for foam ear plugs by name.

Grab water and plugs in the same pharmacy stop so you are not bouncing between shops after 4 PM.
