For rafting, surfing, kite surfing, trekking, canyoning, motorcycle riding: standard travel insurance may not cover — CHECK specifically. Look for policies from: World Nomads (broad adventure coverage), IMG Global (customizable), SafetyWing (nomad-focused). Add 'adventure sports rider' to your policy.

Read the fine print: motorcycle over 250cc, off-piste skiing, professional-level sports often excluded. Alcohol involvement usually voids coverage. Height above 4000m generally excluded (irrelevant Sri Lanka). Motorbike accidents are #1 travel claim in Sri Lanka — MUST have specific coverage.
