The Department of Archaeology is currently working on concept papers for a total reorganization of several state museums. This is a long term project to modernize the display of our artifacts. Currently, all major museums like the Colombo National Museum and the Anuradhapura Museum remain open to the public. The reorganization is focusing on better documentation and digital integration for future visitors.
