While Dambadeniya itself is very quiet and rural, there are some beautiful boutique eco resorts nearby. The Notarys House in Makandura is a stunning luxury boutique hotel located just a short drive from the ancient ruins.

Because accommodation directly at the rock is limited, many tourists choose to stay in the nearby city of Kurunegala, which offers plenty of comfortable mid range hotels, and take a quick thirty minute day trip to Dambadeniya.
