Yes the brilliant orange Thambili comes in highly varying sizes depending on the specific palm tree and how long it was allowed to perfectly mature. The massively huge coconuts generally contain an incredible volume of sweet water making them fantastic for intense rehydration. However the slightly smaller younger coconuts are often universally prized by locals because the water is significantly sweeter and the incredibly soft delicate jelly layer forming inside is perfectly delicious to scoop out and eat after drinking. Always ask the vendor to pick a sweet young one for you.
