We do not want to support boats that aggressively chase the pods. How do we find good operators.

Ethical dolphin watching is a massive concern. Many cheap operators pack small boats and violently chase the pods causing immense stress to the animals. You must explicitly book through highly reputable eco lodges rather than random beach touts.

Look for companies that clearly advertise adherence to international marine mammal observation guidelines. They will completely cut their engines at a safe distance and let the curious dolphins approach the boat naturally.

If the price seems unbelievably cheap it guarantees the operator is cutting corners on safety and animal welfare. Paying a premium for a licensed registered guide is the only responsible choice.
