The vast majority of the standard small fiberglass boats used for dolphin watching in Kalpitiya absolutely do not have any toilet facilities onboard whatsoever. They are small fast vessels designed purely for quick agile trips.

You must ensure you use the restroom at your hotel or the basic facilities at the harbor master office before you step onto the boat for the three hour journey.

If you explicitly require a bathroom you must book a highly premium tour on a massive twin hull catamaran which often features a small marine toilet but these tours are significantly more expensive and less agile when chasing the pods.
