27 Aug, Arugam Bay, at opening. Kid melting. Water looks kind. Need a local, not a brochure. If the festival continues to 28th Diya/Dahawal, do not pack us like it ends on the kerb tonight.

Late afternoon is kinder. Midday is a sit and water. Ordinary east heat. First number is a test.

We slept and skipped the dawn van. Correct. On 'Passikudah midday heat — swim now or wait for late after' — board, not desk.
