Sunday night in Kandy and two ATMs near the lake already empty. Which banks or machines still tend to spit out cash this late, or should we stop hunting and try another plan.

Try one more major-bank machine on a lit stretch, then stop hunting. Empty Sunday-night ATMs are common after festival weekends.

Hotel desk sometimes knows which lobby machine still works. Random alleys at night are not worth the cash.

Keep a small float for morning. Forcing every machine on the lake loop just burns time.
