Absolutely. The Ariyapala Mask Museum in Ambalangoda is the best place to start. You can watch master carvers work with local Kaduru wood and learn the history behind the different demons like the Naga Raksha snake demon. It is a brilliant deep dive into southern coastal culture and you can buy authentic pieces directly from the creators.
