Look away from the noisy city centers. Head up into the hills towards Hanthana or Haputale. Many family-run homestays there practice Ayurvedic lifestyles. While they might not have a formal Yoga Shala, the hosts will gladly prepare wellness meals like Kola Kenda (herbal porridge) and provide a quiet garden overlooking the tea mountains for your practice.

Make sure to explicitly ask the host for Ayurvedic vegetarian food when booking, otherwise they will make standard heavy curries.

Hanthana sounds beautiful. I will search for eco-lodges in that specific area.

Visit the Nilambe Meditation Centre nearby if you want a hardcore silent retreat experience.
