Saturday 22 Aug, Badulla. Worlds End with a stick, cloud sitting, long walk already. Partner wants the photo. I want the feet. If Bandarawela is kinder, say so.

Pay shade and a shorter walk. Pride stands three hours and then owns a clinic. A ledge is a hotel product, not a municipal ticket. I will not invent an official seating fee.

Poncho. Umbrella on that pinch is a fight. They run wet if it is the procession.

Kids: sit. Pride turns Badulla into a speech at the kerb. Then tea.

Seated later. Unreserved standing with shells is how you hate Saturday.

Passport at the counter. A cousin SIM is how you buy a headache. Ordinary.

We waited until it was dull and dry. Flip-flops were a mistake at eight.
