26 Aug, Bandaranaike CMB. a slick night leftover on the beach path. Elder in the group wants the photo before breakfast. Ordinary bags, no suitcase theatre. I do not want a sprain.

Wait. Bandaranaike CMB stones stay slick until late morning after a proper wet night. Sandals on that beach path is how you meet the clinic. Do the inner shade first. Nobody is closing Bandaranaike CMB. It is just wet.

We waited until eleven, walked slow. Fine. Flip-flops were a mistake at eight.

Kids: skip the beach path until it dries. Pride hurries a sunrise photo and hops home on one foot.

Closed shoes and the inner path, not the spray edge.

If it is only damp, not a pond, walk. If it is a pond, tea first.

Ask two locals. The first Bandaranaike CMB number is a test.

Write the board. A leftover-rain rumour around Bandaranaike CMB is not a timetable.

We sat. Nobody clapped. The stones dried without a speech.
