Bee swarm hanging off the juice-stall awning — walk around it or is the stall actually unsafe?
South-coast juice stall, good fruit, and a thick humming cluster on the tarp corner. The seller is pouring drinks like nothing is happening. I want a lime juice. I also do not want a sting in the eye, and one of us has a mild bee allergy. Do people just give it a wide arc and still buy, or is a swarm on the awning a sign to pick another stall entirely?

A tight quiet cluster on an awning is often a resting swarm, not an attack. Walk wide, do not swat, do not spray perfume into it, and do not stand under the tarp corner. If anyone in your pair has an allergy, skip that stall and buy two doors down — a juice is not worth a reaction on the pavement. Sellers who work under bees all week can look casual; that is their risk tolerance, not yours. I will not invent a 'bee tax' or a removal fee. If the cluster is agitated, people are slapping, or you hear a sudden lift-off, you leave the whole strip for a bit.
Wide arc, juice two stalls down. Seller waved as if I was being dramatic. Allergy inhaler stayed unneeded. Fine trade.
Buying further along. Not standing under the tarp. Allergy person gets the veto.
If you already sat down and they land on the glass, stay still, let them leave, then move. Panic hands make stings.
