Beer: (1) Beach shack local (Lion Lager) 300-500 LKR. (2) Beach shack imported (Heineken) 500-800 LKR. (3) Colombo mid-range bar 600-1000 LKR. (4) Colombo upscale (rooftop, hotel bar) 800-1500 LKR local, 1500-2500 LKR imported/craft. Cocktails: 800-3500 LKR depending on venue. Wine by glass 800-2500 LKR at nicer places. Rough budget: $10-15/night for casual drinks (2 beers each), $25-40/night for cocktail evenings. Poya days: no alcohol served (bar closed) so build that around.
^ this. Also: happy hours exist. Many rooftops in Colombo have 5-7pm 2-for-1 or 30% off cocktails. Ask when you sit down. Beach shacks - 'sundowner deals' common. Can significantly cut costs if you time it.
