Best boutique guesthouse Galle Fort - inside the walls?
3 Answers from travellers
Top inside-Fort boutiques: Amangalla (heritage 5-star, Aman brand, the splurge), Fort Bazaar (renovated colonial, mid-luxe, courtyard), Fort Printers (heritage, boutique 9-room, breakfast garden), Galle Fort Hotel (boutique heritage, pool), Lady Hill (small budget-boutique, 5-room, tight quarters but affordable). For splurge: Amangalla. For value luxury: Fort Bazaar. For character on a budget: Galle Fort Hotel or Fort Printers. Book directly for often better rates.
Staying inside the Fort walls is the experience - walking cobbled streets, ramparts sunset, cafes and boutique shops open into evening. Outside walls (Unawatuna, Talpe) misses the point. Book Fort Bazaar or Fort Printers if you can.
