The absolute best quiet cafe for working inside Galle Fort is Dumplings Cafe. It is tucked away on a quiet street, offers fantastic air conditioning, reliable wifi, and the staff will happily let you work on your laptop for hours.

Another great, peaceful spot is the courtyard cafe at the Galle Fort Hotel. While it is slightly more expensive, it provides a very serene, shaded environment with strong internet and zero pressure to leave quickly.
