Dialog has slightly better rural and hill country coverage; Mobitel has slightly better 5G in cities. For a typical tourist itinerary (Colombo + south coast + Ella + cultural triangle), Dialog is the safer choice. Tourist SIM: about 1500-2500 LKR for 30 days with 15-50GB data and free local calls. Buy at CMB arrivals hall, they set it up in 10 minutes, need passport.

Both are fine. If you're heading to Jaffna or east coast, Dialog. If you're mostly Colombo-based and want fast 5G, Mobitel. Prices identical.
