Best time to visit Aluvihare: early morning (7-9am) for coolest weather and softest light. Avoid midday (11am-3pm) — heat is brutal. Late afternoon (4-6pm) also good but crowded. Peak crowds: December-February and weekends. Weekdays 40-60% less crowded.

Weather-wise: dry season (December-March for most sites) is ideal. Post-rain (October-November) landscapes lush but wet. Book accommodation nearby 2-3 months ahead in peak season.
