Trincomalee is a east-coast highlight known for harbor + snorkeling + whales. Best time: May-Sep. Off-season: fewer crowds but rougher sea. Book accommodation 2-3 months ahead for peak. Great for surfers, families, and beach lovers.

Getting there from Colombo: chauffeur (2-4 hours, USD 60-100), PickMe/Uber (comparable), or bus (LKR 400-800, 4-6 hours). Highway route via Southern Expressway fastest. Book direct from CMB airport for smooth arrival.
