Blisters forming after eighty-plus minutes on uneven paving - socks off briefly or suffer in closed shoes
Blisters forming after eighty-plus minutes on uneven paving. Socks off for a thirty-second air between troupes, or suffer through in closed shoes. Not grit shake-out, not closed-toe versus flip-flops before the lock, and not wet socks.

A brief sock-off air between troupes is fine if you step one pace back from the kerb and get the shoe back on before the next block. Do not hop into the lane barefoot. A thin plaster from a daypack beats forcing a raw blister through another hour.
Sit on the kerb briefly while you air the foot if officers are not waving people up right then.
If both feet are wrecked, start a calm outer-pavement exit rather than hobbling the climax.
