Board at Balapitiya stand on 21 Aug — trust stand or a group chat that already lied once
21 Aug, two kids under eight, ear cups in the bag. Group chat sold us a seat that was a rumour. Bags. We can wait.

Ask the board twice. Stand first; the river is a jetty, not a private tour by default. A group chat is not a timetable. I will not invent a 21 Aug departure. If the reserved board is empty, take the van that is filling.
We paid one soda, cooled, left toward Madu jetty. Fine. Occupying shade with a bottle you brought is the rude version.
Closed shoes at stand. Sandals after leftover rain is how you meet the clinic. Walk the inside lane.
Leave a buffer. Agree the fare before you sit. Do not cut it to twenty minutes at Balapitiya stand and then argue in a jam.
