Sri Lanka has good optical chains: Vision Care, Optix, Nawaloka Optical (multiple locations). Same-day repair for broken frames or emergency temporary fix. Colombo, Kandy, Galle main branches. Cost 500-3000 LKR for repair. New frames + lenses (from your prescription): 1-2 days, 5000-25000 LKR.

For emergencies: cheap superglue at any pharmacy for temporary fix. Bring your prescription printout when traveling (photo in phone works). Some hotels stock reading glasses of various strengths at the front desk for emergency loan.
