Business class train Colombo-Kandy. Overpriced or worth?

Business class (assuming you mean 1st Class Observation Saloon on the Colombo-Kandy) has AC, reserved seats, snack cart. Windows don't open (tinted, restrict photos). 2nd class reserved has open windows, hangout culture, better photos, less comfort. For Colombo-Kandy specifically (only 3.5 hours, mostly flat scenery), 2nd class reserved is honestly better experience for a photo-oriented traveler. Save the Observation Saloon splurge for Kandy-Ella (7 hours, hill country, need for AC + comfort matters more).
^ this. Colombo-Kandy is short and flat. 2nd class reserved is genuinely more fun. Kandy-Ella is where you might want AC after 4 hours in the heat. Different journeys, different classes make sense.
