Send thank-you email or WhatsApp within 24 hours. Include: appreciation, meeting summary (2-3 bullet points), next steps. Sri Lankan business relationships build over time — expect multiple meetings before deals close. Persistence with patience is culturally aligned; pushiness is not.

WhatsApp is highly used for business follow-up in Sri Lanka — more responsive than email in many cases. LinkedIn connection acceptable. Christmas/New Year cards appreciated but not required. Long-term relationships rewarded — invest in 2-3 year business horizons.
