Absolutely not. Horton Plains is a strictly protected National Park. Stealth camping is illegal, highly dangerous due to the wild leopard and sambar deer populations, and the sub-zero temperatures at night. If caught by the rangers, you will be arrested, fined heavily, and deported. Book an official designated campsite through the DWC if you want to sleep in the park.

The park gates open at 6 AM. Just get there early, run the 4km to the cliff, and you will beat the crowds legally.
