Honestly stuck in Unawatuna. Stay in Galle Fort and day-hop, or move every night. Partner and I do not agree and the bags are already packed the wrong way.

Local take from Unawatuna: ask the stall or the desk, not a group chat. Bulletin 18 Amber is still valid until 10:30 Tuesday 1 September. Hambantota to Pottuvil can be rough with 50-60 kmph gusts. Waves 2-3 m Negombo to Pottuvil via Colombo, Galle and Matara. Inundation possible Beruwala to Matara via Galle. Vigilance, not a town tape, not a swim ban. South-west stay/go is a room choice, not a gazette. If you can see a seated option, take it. If the shutter is down, morning is the shop. Then tea.

We photographed the board, agreed before we sat, and moved. Unawatuna arguments on the step go nowhere. First light is kinder than noon.

Pool and a garden beat a named wash. A bulletin is vigilance, not a boarding cancel unless a desk says they will not sail. Call the desk before you guess.
