Silva's Cinnamon Estate near Matara - genuine small-scale family farm, 2-3 hour tour, watch actual peeling by skilled workers (not staged demo), buy quills at 40-60% below tourist shop prices. Book direct via WhatsApp. Skip anything called 'spice garden' along the Kandy road - all tourist scams. Also good: Handunugoda Tea Estate near Ahangama does a combined tea + cinnamon tour.

Handunugoda is famous for their 'virgin white tea' - very fine. Combined with cinnamon peeling demo it's a solid half-day. About 1500-3000 LKR entry, tour included. Ask for the 'complete tour' not just tea tasting.
