I am attempting Adams Peak this week. Since late April is the very end of the pilgrimage season, are the small tea and roti stalls along the stairs still open for midnight snacks.

You are catching the very tail end of the season before Vesak. The crowds have thinned out beautifully, but many of the upper stalls have started closing down. However, the stalls in the lower half of the Hatton route are still operating, so you can definitely grab a hot pol roti and sugary plain tea to fuel your climb. Bring your own snacks for the final summit push just in case.

The descent will completely destroy your calves. When you get back to Dalhousie base camp, eat a massive breakfast to replace the calories and then get a local Ayurvedic leg massage.

The cold wind at the summit while waiting for the sunrise is brutal. Buy a hot tea at the last stall you see, even if you do not think you need it yet!
