Sri Lankan coconut-shell carving is a niche folk art — bowls, spoons, decorative items intricately carved from mature coconut shells. Weligama area has several workshops. Also Ambalangoda mask carvers sometimes do coconut work as secondary craft.

Small carved coconut bowls 500-1500 LKR, decorative wall pieces 3000-8000 LKR. Great lightweight souvenirs. Look for detail quality — fine parallel lines, patterns, natural color contrast. Some Colombo shops (Barefoot, Odel) sell curated pieces at 2-3x village prices.
