Yes. Colombo Tea Auction held Tuesday-Wednesday at Sri Lanka Tea Board building (Colombo Fort area). Free to attend as observer. Arrive by 9am. Dress smart-casual (not shorts). Watch buyers bid on lots via traditional call-out - fascinating for tea enthusiasts, boring if you don't care. No advance registration - just show up with ID. Ceylon Tea Board sometimes has a guide who explains the process to visitors on request. Real, accessible, unique.

^ this. Combine with Ceylon Tea Museum (Kandy area) later in the trip for full tea education. Auction is the current business; museum is the history. Together = deep understanding.
