'Just now' = a few minutes ago (not this instant). 'Nice' = beautiful, more common than saying 'beautiful'. 'Same same' = similar. 'Only' at end of sentence = emphasis (I need water only = I need only water). 'Uncle/Aunty' for any older stranger, respectful.

'Do the needful' = handle it. 'What is your good name?' = polite way to ask name. 'Prepone' = opposite of postpone (move earlier). 'Mother tongue' commonly used. Sinhala-influenced English has warm rhythms — you'll adjust in a week.
