Flying home via Delhi in early September. Saw a note that India is dropping boarding-pass stamping for international flyers and accepting e-boarding on the phone. Connecting CMB to DEL to Europe - do we still need a paper stamp at immigration, or is the phone boarding pass enough now.

From 1 Sept India is moving international flyers to e-boarding on the phone - stamped paper boarding passes are being phased out for that flow. Keep the airline app downloadable offline and a screenshot backup.

Rules are on the India side of the connection, not CMB departure. Still carry whatever your airline printed if the app glitches - belt and braces for the first weeks.

If your ticket is late August you are under the old stamp habit; September connections should follow the new e-boarding practice. Double-check your airline email the week before.
