Crowd is not moving and it has been 40 minutes since the last drum - is this the drain or a second loop

We thought it was over. Then a whip somewhere up Raja Veediya. Nobody is letting us cross. Is Kumbal a single pass or did we stand on the wrong side of a return.

Official 4th Kumbal route is Maligawa → Dalada Veediya → Katugodalla Veediya → Raja Veediya → back to the Maligawa. It is a loop, so the same procession returns. If you stood on a corner of the loop you may see it twice - outbound colour, inbound relic. 40 minutes of "nothing" in the middle is normal. Do not cross the road because you are bored.

We saw it going and coming Wednesday. The coming-home bit is the one people film.

Follow the police tape, not a rumour of a "second Perahera."

Not crossing. Waiting for the inbound if that is the relic. Tape stays tape.
