Crowd starting to sit on the kerb between troupes this late. Do officers usually allow a brief sit, or will we get waved upright. Not a plastic stool fee, not leftover stools after 6, and not bringing our own foldable stool.

A brief sit between troupes is often tolerated if you stand as soon as the next block approaches and stay clear of the lane. If an officer waves you up, stand without argument. Do not unfold a private stool bargain into the kerb fight.

A doorway lean is steadier than a full sit if you need longer rest.

If you are lightheaded, sit first and explain with a calm smile if asked — health beats pride.
