If you accidentally eat a curry that is brutally spicy, drinking water will actually make the burning sensation much worse. The absolute best local remedy is to drink fresh King Coconut water, known as Thambili, which instantly cools the stomach. Alternatively, ordering a side of fresh curd made from buffalo milk topped with sweet kithul treacle will completely neutralize the chili heat in your mouth and soothe your digestion perfectly.
