WhatsApp uncle in Colombo is very sure and also not here. Dahawal Perahera is listed 2:18 PM on Friday 28 Aug. Festival ends after that. Kids will last a day one and not a night one. Lived curb answer please.

Local from the lake side: listed 2:18 PM for Dahawal Perahera is when they start leaving the Maligawa, not when the tusker fills Asgiriya-side last drop. Drums first, then dancers, then the heavy bit. If you want kerb, four is early-Kumbal sane and late-Randoli mandatory. Dahawal is the day procession at 2:18 PM, not a night replay. Kinder for kids and elders, harsher sun. No Saturday Kandy restart after it. First light is for the temple; night is for the street.

We did 3rd Kumbal from a different corner and then Final Randoli from Asgiriya-side last drop. Not the same night. Listed 6:43 PM and they were still lining up. We should have bought water before we sat. Kids change the trade.

If the elder already said no to standing, that is the answer. Pay a balcony or skip Dahawal Perahera and do Dahawal at 2:18 PM on the 28th in daylight. Pride is not a viewing plan. Leave a margin for the walk back.
