Dawn fish stalls Negombo — sandals on wet laterite or wait until the path dries

Guesthouse path is wet laterite. Partner wants the fish stalls before they pack. Kid in sandals. Sunday 30 Aug, not a cyclone, just leftover rain still sitting on the stones. We have been awake since the Doha hop.

Wait until it is dull and dry if the kid is in sandals. Leftover rain on Negombo paths is ordinary in August. The stalls will still be there, or they will not, and neither is a festival. Closed shoes, or sit breakfast and walk later. Nobody is closing the lagoon. It is just wet.
