Honestly split. Dahawal Perahera is listed 2:18 PM on Friday 28 Aug. Festival ends after that. Reserved chairs exist in the afternoon too. Bags are in a guesthouse that will not hold past eleven and the kid is already asking if we are going or not.

Agree a tuk drop on Peradeniya Road or Katugastota Road, not on Raja Veediya at 2:18 PM. The grid is cones and shoulders. Bennet Soysa Veediya you reach on foot with bottles already bought. Dahawal is the day procession at 2:18 PM, not a night replay. Kinder for kids and elders, harsher sun. No Saturday Kandy restart after it. First light is for the temple; night is for the street.

We used a baby carrier, not a stroller, on Bennet Soysa Veediya for Final Randoli. Stroller people were parked in doorways looking miserable. Carrier was the whole trick. Kids change the trade.

Cash before you sit. The stall behind Bennet Soysa Veediya wants notes. Card machines pretend to exist. Leave a margin for the walk back.
