Wear it on the chest, zipped, if it is small. A keeper only if you already know the shop and will peel back the same way. Do not leave it with a stranger on the curb.

We wore ours. Hands free enough, and we did not want a second errand after the pass.

If it is a big pack, cloak it at the hotel or the station first. A large pack in a packed curb is a shove.
