Heading to the big temples on a normal Monday. Dress we understand roughly, but what photography is actually banned daytime — flash, tripods, certain shrines — so we do not get turned away at the gate.

No flash inside shrine rooms, no tripods without prior permission, and follow shoe and shoulder rules before you lift the camera. When in doubt, ask the attendant once.

Phone snaps outdoors are usually fine. Inside, watch for posted signs and never block worshippers for a shot.

Cover knees and shoulders even on a hot Monday. Camera etiquette fails start with dress code failures.
